Stuart started his career designing military electronics hardware but quickly discovered there is more money in software. He subsequently worked on the software development of a European PBX and an American central office switch. He ran a team at Southern New England Telephone where he developed fraud detection and validation services. In 1998, Stuart co-started AGSi where Toly was one of the first customers. In 2010, he left the chilly northeast to join the Toly Team as CTO.

Stuart has a Cybernetics and Mathematics degree from Reading University in England. He has long wondered why anyone would hit, throw or chase after a ball and get excited about it; consequently, he has no interest in any sports. He and his wife have raised three children through college; both sons became Eagle scouts and his daughter played rugby at college.
